Back in 1925, The International Exhibition of Modern Industrial and Decorative Arts in Paris showcased the combination of the Art deco movement with cubism, art, nouveau, and industrial forms.

The world of Graphic Design was changing again.  The apparent influence was shown in the designs cars and aircrafts.  Bold colors, and a various range of materials including ‘stone, wood, and metal were applied to the surface of products with no real apparent function other than decorative.’  This style was called ‘moderne’ or ‘modern’.  This style spread through Europe during the 1920s-1930s, with a particular emphasis in France.  Back in America, the influence of this movement became apparent in Hollywood as well.
